Hi, my name is Ola!
I bought my first camera in high school. It was a used Sony SLR camera. I don’t remember exactly where this idea came from. I took photos of everything around me: flowers and trees in my parents’ garden, monuments and nature while traveling, family and various occasions. I remember that when my brother was born, I took pictures of him all the time ! I was taking photos like crazy. In this way my long-standing gallery has expanded a lot. Then came studies, my first job and a lot of responsibilities. The camera was waiting on the shelf for a long time…
Despite many responsibilities and lack of time, I still captured everything that fascinated me – but this time with my phone. I often heard someone saying “wow, you captured the moment”, “great photo, suitable for a frame!” or ‘ you have the eye !’. The thought of returning to the camera and learning the secrets of professional photography came to my mind. Since I managed to attract someone’s attention as an amateur, I wanted to reach a higher level. I wanted to take photos consciously, using all camera parameters and learn functions that were unknown to me. I quickly became interested in photographing people and their emotions. I am delighted by the “otherness” and naturalness of each of us. I can take two the same shots of different people and each of them will be still completely different photos. Everyone has its own interesting story to tell and I love to hear it ! I like meeting new faces. There is so much that divides us, and at the same time, there is so much that unites us.
Privately, I am a Wife and Mom of Pola and Iga.
Perfectionist, aesthete, sensitive soul. I picked up my camera again when my first girl was born. I can easily say that motherhood brought me back to my hobby. As a teenager, I couldn’t find anything for myself, I didn’t have any activities that I liked. I felt bad about it… I didn’t have anything to devote myself to with passion, and photography grew in me slowly… Creating interesting frames has become my hobby, and the camera has become an extension of my hand.
A lot of my life is also occupied by love of music (especially reggae and dub), squash, oriental cuisine full of vegetables and spices, and painting. As an aesthete, I like to surround myself with nice and eye-pleasing things. I love the greenery of parks and forests, blooming peonies, hydrangeas and rhododendrons, the silence of the mountains and mirror reflections in the water. Nature gives me a lot of peace and breath. Since I’ve been taking photos, I try to capture these passing moments in the frame every time. Everything fades away, except photos. When I started capturing these moments for myself, I realized that others may also have such a need, and I can help them.
